The baseline for all these activities is a clear and unified understanding of who our customers are and what they want. Our team is responsible to enable a luxurious and omni-channel customer experience at Mercedes-Benz by developing and implementing the Unified Customer Profile (UCP). This means that we are building the Mercedes-Benz wide standard for customer profile data whilst ensuring highest compliance, legal and security standards.

As an intern, you will be part of the “Unified Customer Profile & Privacy Management” team responsible for all tasks related to strategy, implementation, and enhancement. You support the business core team of the Unified Customer Profile, meaning you work closely with our internal development team (stream owners, data scientists, data engineers, requirements engineers,…) as well as with our suppliers and consultants. Besides, you support the Privacy Center team for the international rollout.

On top of that, you will get insights into the innovative world of data & AI at Mercedes-Benz as our team is part of the department Customer Intelligence, Data & AI: Our department's products and programs range, amongst others, from leveraging customer and vehicle data for the purpose of creating a personalized customer experience, over exploiting artificial intelligence technologies, or providing full data control and transparency for our customers via the Mercedes me Privacy Center. Naturally, within this environment your internship is a strong techno-functional role to shape the Unified Customer Profile and steer its implementation. You will support us in our operational as well as strategic endeavors, thus a great variety of tasks and responsibilities are awaiting you.

Amongst others, these are exciting challenges you will face:

  • You support in advancing the Unified Customer Profile (e.g. defining business requirements for additional data points) and pushing its worldwide implementation by introducing it to new countries
  • You are part of defining our strategy for a future-oriented Unified Customer Profile such as how it should look like within the next five years together with experts across the company
  • You are an active member of our sprint meetings meaning you clarify and prepare requirements and take responsibility for specific tasks
  • You plan and create the Mercedes-Benz-wide communication of the Unified Customer Profile
  • You organize and support workshops, prepare management meetings and committees and coordinate open tasks
  • You have the opportunity to get to know the world of digital customer technologies
  • You support the team in day-to-day business activities, thus gaining broad first-hand experience such as in the management of the Mercedes-Benz Privacy Center or Data Management
  • Also, you will be able to get to know many national and international colleagues in our company and start building your business network :)

  • Enrollment in a degree program in business administration (with a specialization in marketing or data management), information technology, business informatics or in a comparable degree program
  • Initial practical experience (e.g., internships, part-time jobs, apprenticeship), ideally in a related field
  • Being a natural communicator, you can simply articulate and visualize strategies & concepts via presentation and different communication platforms
  • You have the drive and desire to learn and grow both technical and functional skill sets
  • Business fluent in English (we are an international English-speaking team)
  • Confident handling of MS Office (Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneNote)
  • Experience with AzureDevOps and Confluence of advantage
  • Distinctive knowledge desirable in digital topics such as understanding of data-driven marketing (e.g. CRM/CDM, Data Analytics, Salesforce)
