For our headquarters in Hamburg we are looking for you as Inhouse Consultant (f/m/d) for Data Analytics as soon as possible. The position is limited until 30 June 2026.
As part of our central data & analytics team, you will participate in developing VTG's internal toolbox of business intelligence and big data solutions and apply them. In a pivotal role, you will enable business units to unleash their data potential using our self-service data platform.
- Implement data analytics requirements with our business unit and development teams
- Identify existing and create new data sets for in-house customer users like business analysts and data scientists
- Provision of hands-on-help for reporting & data engineering questions from various business units
- End-user training on how to effectively use available data & analytics tools
- Evaluate new products in data & analytics to complement the catalogue of centrally provided tool sets (like BI tools or low-code platforms)
- Measure and report data quality
- Be a sparring partner for new project ideas in business and design sustainable solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving working style with attention to detail and numbers
- Ability to work independently with in-house customers, as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience in data modelling & visualization with BI tools (e.g. Apache Superset or Power BI)
- Strong commitment and proactivity to solve business challenges
- Good command of German and English
- Basic AWS knowledge (Glue & Athena) is a plus
- Proficiency in SQL is a plus
- Coding skills in Kotlin or Python are a plus
