Team Lead Platform Services (f/m/d)

We are looking for a talented IT Platform Team Lead with a strong background in DevOps, Kubernetes (K8s) and Azure Cloud to lead our platform engineers in managing and optimizing our platform infrastructure. With appropriate technical knowledge and communication skills, you support your team in decision-making and implementation processes. You coordinate collaboration with other departments and external service providers to ensure smooth processes. In addition, you will promote the continuous development of your team and actively contribute to improving the efficiency of our IT environment.

We work with:

  • Infrastructure-as-code, Kanban, Kubernetes, Prometheus/Opensearch, Ansible/Terraform
  • Python, Bash
  • Azure, AWS
  • Jira, Confluence

  • You lead, mentor and manage a team of 14 platform engineers (internals and externals) to ensure the smooth operation and scalability of our platform.
  • You conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback and support the professional development of platform engineers.
  • You collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of platform services.
  • You manage the design, implementation and maintenance of a scalable, secure and highly available cloud-based infrastructure on Azure.
  • You oversee the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of Kubernetes clusters.
  • You develop and implement DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as a code, automation and configuration management.
  • You stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement.

  • You provide inspiration for developing innovative ideas and support your team in implementing them.
  • With your strategic way of thinking, you are committed to not only solving technical problems but also to organizational improvements.
  • You are experienced in Azure services, have a strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices as well as in managing and deploying applications on Kubernetes clusters.
  • You have experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack or similar highly advantageous.
  • You are business fluent in both spoken and written German and English.
