Our Zumtobel Product Management (PM) Team: experts working together to push limits, excite the market and amaze our customers
Our "Product Management Services” (PM Services) primary objective is to provide our customers with greatest level of service and the best possible experience in the application areas of retail, industry, chemical, food processing, education and offices. This company-wide only PM Services is in charge of overseeing the worldwide technical, aftersales Services of all Thorn and Zumtobel Lighting Brands taking in full consideration the compatibility to the End-to-End Brands individual solutions and the alignment with the company's brand, application and sustainability strategy.

What it's all about: manage our Service portfolio and innovate the next generation of Services
You have full responsibility for overseeing the maintenance, enhancement, improvement, and expansion of a service product portfolio as a PM Services in the Lighting Segment, which enables and increases the sale of entire solutions. Within Service-solutions we plan a double-digit growth. Hence you oversee all service activities within the Thorn and Zumtobel Lighting Brands globally, by identifying opportunities, supporting change and therefore lead to customer satisfaction and loyalty, which ultimately results in growth of the Brands (luminaires and E2E). You are free to select where you work, provided that you are able to spend 2-3 days twice a month at our headquarters in Dornbirn, Austria.


  • Managing the global Product Portfolio: You manage and oversee the complete life cycle of a Service including inherent software and hardware from ideation, product specification, to the market launch and to market exit/product grave (PO). Thus, you develop a “Service-catalogue” (e.g. involving KEYTURE, LaaS, SLS, Emergency Lighting, Design Consulting, Recycling&Disposal, upgrade service, ...) within the SAP-system and make sure that it is in line with the brands, applications and sustainability plan of the companies.
  • Monitoring & evaluating the Performance: You are bearing the full responsibility for the product line's profitability in relation to the brands, as well as guiding choices about investments and developments.
  • Gathering Trends & providing Innovation: In order to identify competitive attributes and value proposition, you collaborate with Market Intelligence and Sales to analyse global markets, technologies, competitors and customer trends. By using advanced methodologies and tools you stay ahead by identifying customer needs, opportunities, and risks for strategic positioning against competition.
  • Providing Trainings & Presentations: You provide knowledge about “Service-products” through inspiring in-depth trainings, demonstrations and presentations for customers and other stakeholders and sales teams in particular.
  • Proactive Collaboration & Communication: Through your proactive engagement, you guarantee the essential link to attain optimal outcomes in market implementation, for our clients and for our brands. Hence you collaborate strongly with Sales globally, as well with Application Management, Brand Marketing, Education & Learning, Pricing, Sales, Product Development, PMO, Innovation Hub, Global Launch Management, Market Intelligence and inside TAS and externally e.g. TPP suppliers.

  • Completed Bachelor's Degree: You have successfully completed a bachelor degree or anything comparable in engineering OR business administration with either a profound technical understanding or very strong interest in technology.
  • Proven successful Track & 2+ Years comparable Experience: As MUST HAVE is that you possess a deep expertise positioning and developing “Services-products” and you've shown success in a B2B and product management setting; ideally you have experience working in an international team, in an electronic-, electrical equipment, technology-, industrial- or consumer electronics environment.
  • Magnetic & charismatic Personality: It is the mix that counts – we look for a Service PM / Expert and a character with a “we can do” attitude and a “walk the talk” mentality combined with an authentic, close binding, consistent, trustful, self-confident and resilient appearance. All above you have a curious, agile mindset and you are open to new ideas, trends and topics. You care about “Sustainability” issues, and this influences your decisions.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset & through comprehensive commercial Understanding: Due to your excellent quantitative and analytical skills, your strategic, modern, problem-solving mindset it is easy for you to create product-roadmaps and -portfolios and implement it with your ideally professional project-management skills and/or your very organized way of working – that is your success factor.
  • Empowering & inspiring Communication: You have exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate, influence and challenge confidently across all levels, orchestrating interdisciplinary, decentralized and remote team into an outstanding success.
  • Fluent in English & German (B1): You are a passionate and excited person who enjoys presenting, telling stories and communicating in a very pleasant, credible and empathic way, fluent in English and in German (B1) as well.
  • Business Trip welcome: You are excited to visit customers and global sales interfaces in order to support the brand's and its Service offerings' external market presence.
