- Design, create, and maintain data processing systems for a new platform
- Develop and maintain robust data pipelines and structures in data warehouses/lakes
- Optimize data pipelines for performance and scalability
- Analyze and optimize data processing workflows
- Collaborate with testing teams to ensure data quality and integrity
- Develop data integration standards and best practices
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- More than 2 years of experience in designing and creating data processing systems
- Experience with programming languages related to data engineering (e.g. Hadoop, Spark, Scala, Python)
- Knowledge of data and analytics such as ETL, reporting tools, data governance, data warehousing, structured and unstructured data
- Experience in database development and data modeling with Databricks/Spark and SQL Server DB, and knowledge about relational, NoSQL, and cloud database technologies
- Familiar with MS Azure tools, like Data Factory, Event Hub, Databricks, ML, Synapse, Purview
- Experience with AI / machine learning cases is a plus
- Good communication skills in English; knowledge of German is a plus
