As an Engineer Lead (m/f/d), you will play a crucial role in leading and guiding our team of developers towards achieving our organizational goals. You will be responsible for overseeing the development resources, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance and efficient work environment.

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to software engineers within the Development Chapter
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to guide the team in making informed technical decisions
  • Create and implement career development plans for individual engineers within the chapter. Support their growth by identifying training needs, providing learning opportunities, and facilitating skill development initiatives
  • Regularly assess and provide feedback on performance and progress
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge-sharing within the Chapter. Facilitate regular knowledge sharing sessions, technical talks, and workshops to enhance the expertise of the team
  • Collaborate with other Chapter Leads and Squad Leads to define the strategic direction of the Development Chapter
  • Contribute to the development of long-term plans, goals, and initiatives to drive continuous improvement and growth

  • You have a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • You bring 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, with a strong understanding of software development practices and methodologies
  • You bring demonstrated leadership experience in a technical role
  • You are familiar with the Dropbox career model or similar competency-based frameworks
  • You have relevant experience in agile software development
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
  • You are able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • You are fluent in written and spoken English (German knowledge is a nice-to-have)
