For our Energy Assets Strategy Business Area, we are looking for Portfolio Managers to join the Asset Improvement, Sustainability & Decarbonization Strategy team. Join us, become an integral part of the Energy Transition, and play a key role in delivering the transformation of Uniper's Energy Assets within a highly motivated team of experienced professionals.

  • As an entrepreneurial Portfolio Manager, you will have capacity to lead the development of decarbonization and sustainability solutions and plans for Uniper Energy Assets
  • Engage with key stakeholders and customers at all levels, to identify, define and deliver decarbonization and sustainability projects
  • Develop decarbonization and sustainability strategies for our assets and embed into business processes; make sustainability part of our Energy Asset culture
  • Develop technical solutions and knowledge to support transformation, such as conversion to green fuels, hydrogen to power and other sustainability/biodiversity activities
  • Identify opportunities to commercialize low carbon technologies, collaborate across functions to develop business cases and lead on decision papers (ie via MTP, miniFD, SD, SD, FD and BoM papers)
  • Establish and steer international project teams from Energy Assets, New Green Power & Gas and Asset Transformation
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of projects, ensuring high quality project management principles are applied, including alignment with internal processes where required (ie PMEF)
  • Develop and implement measures to promote a high performance culture, via relevant KPIs, performance dialogues and focus on delivery


  • University degree in relevant degree, e.g. engineering, science, business administration or economics
  • In depth expertise and proven track record in project management or project development, preferably relating to power generation
  • Strong technical and/or commercial skills essential. Ability to think strategically and with the ability to prioritize
  • Technical or commercial expertise in a related subject area, e.g. hydrogen to power, green fuels, sustainability, biodiversity
  • Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to build strong working relationships across the Uniper Group, demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills and motivate to a high performance to drive change
  • Experienced in functional leadership of international teams; a solution-oriented team player with the ability to deliver
  • Result oriented, entrepreneurial, open-minded, with ability to spot possibilities in uncertain and complex environments
  • Knowledge of energy markets in Uniper core markets beneficial
  • Willingness to undertake international travel, as well travelling to various UK sites when required
  • Fluent in English (other languages beneficial)
