Your new responsibilities:

Develop and implement a digitalization strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives with special focus on data management and analytics, data infrastructure, business artificial intelligence and automation, internet of things and test/simulation/virtual system

Conduct research and analysis of emerging digital trends, technologies, and industry best practices to inform digitalization initiatives

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize digitalization projects based on potential impact, feasibility, and alignment with strategic objectives

Lead the evaluation and selection of digital tools, platforms, and solutions to address business needs and opportunities

Manage relationships with external vendors, partners, and technology providers to leverage their expertise and resources in support of digitalization initiatives

Develop business cases, ROI analyses, and implementation plans for digitalization projects, including timelines, budgets, and resource requirements

Provide leadership, guidance, and support to project teams and stakeholders throughout the digitalization lifecycle

Academic degree in Information Technology, Engineering or comparable qualification

Long term professional experience in project management and project reporting to board members

Long term functional leadership experience of international and cross-functional teams

Experience in design and application of digital technologies in industrial sector (innovation department preferred) and in driving digital transformation

Fluent English skills and very good German skills, written and spoken

Willingness to travel (~10% - 20%)
