Global R&D Director (m/f/d) Sensing & Control

KYOCERA AVX Components (Werne) Holding GmbH is looking for a Global R&D Director (m/f/d) Sensing & Control in Hallbergmoos, Klingenberg (Saxony) or Werne.


  • Coordinates, manages and further develops the R&D global team including support of innovation processes, investments and alignment with the business strategy
  • Implementation of standardized development structure and processes (APQP)
  • Analysis of global market trends and competitive developments to support strategic decisions
  • Responsibility for R&D strategy, resource planning and overarching multi-project management
  • Driver of the optimization and further expansion of global structures and processes as well as assurance that local processes, procedures and tools are in line with global standards
  • Monitoring of research and development project progress for completion on time
  • Budget Management as well as forecasting budgets to ensure that costs are in line with company targets
  • Implementation of self-financing cost center through development funds and sample purchases
  • Intercompany development, coordination and presentation of strategic technology/ product/ system roadmaps

  • Master‘s Degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Several years of management experience in R&D within the field of industrial electronic systems
  • Understanding of R&D as well as material and manufacturing processes, innovation and projects in an industrial environment
  • Experience in multi-project management, financial/ cost management and new business opportunity identification
  • Good knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Excellent Englisch skills, both written and spoken
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 50% internationally
