For our Global Research & Development (GRD) department, we are looking for a Team Leader (f/m/d) Analytic Center (ANC) Chemistry to start as soon as possible.

As the central laboratory of the Global Research & Development department of Heidelberg Materials AG, the ANC offers support at the highest level for innovative research projects, plants and operational excellence teams.

The position will be located in Leimen (near Heidelberg), Germany, and directly report to the position Head of the Analytic Center.

The position can be filled on a part-time or full-time basis (shared management).


YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE

  • People-oriented management of the ANC Chemistry team with focus on high productivity, efficiency, and service quality

  • Coordination of the day-to-day workflow in the chemistry lab in close cooperation with ANC coordination

  • Ensuring the availability of technical equipment and guaranteeing a high level of quality in the results

  • Support (applied) research projects or sub-projects in larger R&D programs

  • Where needed develop new analytical test methods as a basis for product development / optimization

  • Promotion of knowledge transfer in the field of cement-related analysis methods and quality assurance as well as the training and further education of apprentices

  • Support development of patents in the field of special, innovative binders and concrete applications

  • Purchase and maintain lab equipment in line with the investment plan


YOUR PROFILE

  • Master's degree in chemistry, mineralogy, material science or equivalent

  • Extensive, demonstrable experience in related industries or academia

  • Entrepreneurial thinking and acting as well as a passion for leading people

  • Know-how and application of modern media and information technology

  • Very good German and good English skills, additional language skills are of advantage

  • Basic project management skills
