Job Description

Within our Business Line Stainless Europe, Outokumpu's Pricing & Sales Strategy Team is looking for a Strategic Pricing Specialist (m/f/d), whose mission is to support building a robust and sustainable approach to a dynamic and intelligent pricing for our high volume products.


  • Develop best-in-class pricing tactics and strategies based on a profound analysis of market price levels and internal price reports
  • Identify dynamic and intelligent pricing opportunities for Stainless Europe products, observing market opportunities as well as vertical profitability and making use of AI, where possible
  • Provide guidance in price setting and price execution and develop internal benchmarks based on Sales feedback and follow-up on price observance
  • Further development and introduction of tools, processes, concepts, and strategies in the pricing environment
  • Coordinate and contribute to projects related to Pricing and corresponding IT developments & implementations
  • Report actual performance, risks & mitigations as well as planned activities to the Head of Pricing Office
  • The most important stakeholders & interfaces are: Head of Pricing & Sales Strategy, Pricing & Sales Strategy Team, Head of Sales Stainless Europe, Head of Pricing & Commodity Management AM, Sales Controlling of BL Stainless Europe

  • Successfully completed Master's degree in a business, finance, economic discipline, or Data Scientists with IT background
  • Preferably more than 3 years of experience in a Pricing role or joining from a Consultancy
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English and one key Segment language
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and distinctive understanding of numbers
  • Proactive, self-managed, with a high level of ownership and accountability and a high sense of urgency
  • Advanced capabilities in Excel and PowerPoint, experience of PowerBI is a plus
  • Intercultural and empathetic competencies to build internal and external stakeholder relations
  • Exemplary Safety awareness
