You are the first contact person regarding utilization, system improvement, performance, high availability, and clustering as well as the owner of our tech tools and projects such as automation of configuration management.
This position is a maternity leave replacement and limited until December 2025.
In this position, you work within our hybrid model "Flexible". You will be one or two fixed or flexible days on site, the other days remotely.
What you can expect in this role
- You are responsible for the administration, maintenance and 2nd level support of middleware as well as Java E applications and their runtime environment and ensure the stability of our distributed systems
- You design and manage containerized environments using Docker & Kubernetes
- Implementing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using Gitlab CI/CD is your task as well as designing, implementing and managing AWS services
- You take care of the installation of fixpacks, as well as the support and implementation of product upgrades
- You are responsible for system monitoring and provide proactive service to increase service availability
- You have several years of experience in the system administration of Linux and AIX as well as initial experience in the operation/administration of Java applications in WebSphere and Tomcat environments and are not intimidated by on premise or cloud (such as Kubernetes or Docker)
- You gained experiences with cloud platforms, preferably with AWS, especially services like ECS,EKS,RDS, S3, CloudWatch etc. and deploying and managing the AWS infrastructure as code (Terraform/CloudFormation)
- You have a DevOps mindset and are familiar with the Automation and optimisation of deployments as well as CI/CD Pipelines and applications operation tools (e.g. Datadog, Ansible, Prometheus)
- You are a responsible, curious, team player and are motivated to try new things and new ways of thinking
- Ideally you also have experience with AWS Copilot and implementing security best practices using the AWS Well-Architected Framework
