Job Description

We are looking for an eCommerce Specialist (x|f|m) for the Bioprocess Solutions Division, in the department of Digital Marketing at Sartorius Stedim Biotech GmbH.

In this role you will be responsible for growing eCommerce as a channel by improving customer experience and driving leads and direct sales on our international eCommerce platforms. You will cooperate closely with Marketing, Product Management, Sales and IT and continuously extend our eCommerce product portfolio.

The team consists of 23 professionals and we are looking forward to shaping the future with you. This position is available for full-time. It is a hybrid role requiring some days on site at one of our european locations with the opportunity to work some days remotely.


  • Develop and implement global and local eCommerce strategies for our extensive bioprocess solutions product and services range
  • Incorporate eCommerce into campaigns and digital advertising and create digital customer journeys to continuously drive traffic to your platforms
  • Grow the product portfolio available in eCommerce channels, eg eShops, punchout catalogs, and websites
  • Develop, track and monitor meaningful KPIs and targets to improve customer experience, lead generation and sales performance on eCommerce platforms
  • Work closely with IT and other departments to design, develop, and implement eCommerce processes and features to make our eCommerce solutions easy to use and to convert in
  • Drive cross-functional and divisional collaboration in eCommerce and promote your channels within the organization
  • Bring in new ideas and test innovations in B2B eCommerce
  • Take part in or lead eCommerce related projects

  • Bachelor's Degree in the field of eCommerce, business administration, marketing, or similar, or alternatively relevant professional experience
  • Several professional experience in eCommerce, preferably B2B, B2C experience and experience in life sciences a plus
  • Familiarity with eCommerce platforms like SAP Commerce, PIM systems, and analytics tools like Tableau and Google Analytics
  • Solid knowledge of digital marketing and lead generation processes
  • Growth mindset and passion for innovation, technologies and trends in eCommerce, digital marketing and user experience
  • Great communicator and presenter, able to collaborate across functions and cultures and drive change management in a complex organization
  • Strong analytical thinker and the ability to take data driven decisions
  • Business fluent English spoken and written, German a plus
