Your Team:
In the Tech department, we are responsible for providing our customers worldwide with an inspiring and reliable product. As the central product development department, we conceive, design, develop, and operate the statista.com platform as well as a selection of other tools used for internal processes. We are continuously developing them, which we achieve by working together and on an equal footing. - Implement services using modern Java frameworks such as Spring Boot on a globally accessible cloud infrastructure utilizing AWS Fargate or Lambda,
- Support CI/CD pipeline implementation, infrastructure setup, and monitoring using CDK, Terraform and Datadog,
- Collaborate with frontend engineers, product owners, and QA engineers within a cross-functional product development team,
- Own end-to-end responsibility for software lifecycle: design, programming, code reviews, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance,
- Provide support and mentorship to junior team members, helping their development within the team.
- Completed training in IT or studies in computer science or comparable,
- Years of backend development experience in Java,
- Experience with Java microservice frameworks,
- Experience working in agile teams,
- "You build it, you run it" – mindset,
- Experience in cloud platforms and infrastructure automation like AWS with CDK is a plus,
- Very good knowledge of English, knowledge of German is an advantage,
- Nice-to-have: experience in frontend technologies like React with Typescript.
