Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel in creating and managing processes critical to the employment lifecycle, managing employee relations and ensuring compliance with HR policies. This role involves supporting various HR functions including benefits administration, compliance, and employee onboarding. The HR Generalist will also partner with our HR Shared Service Center to optimize processes and enhance the employee experience.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Assist in the development, implementation and enforcement of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Manage the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks. Ensure employees are well-informed and supported in utilizing their benefits.
  • Ensure all compensation and benefits practices comply with federal and state regulations and company policies.
  • Prepare and analyze HR data, ensuring accuracy in our people data.
  • Budgetary planning activities associated with workforce and labor costs. Management of HR invoices and cost centers.
  • Assist with ad hoc HR projects related to talent management, performance management, and compensation review.
  • Participate in budgetary planning activities related to workforce and labor costs.
  • Partner with the HR Shared Service Center to document and optimize HR processes, enhancing the employee experience.
  • Manage correspondence with employees and external authorities.
  • Conduct employee onboarding to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
  • Coordinate the performance appraisal process, including goal setting, mid-year reviews, and annual evaluations. Provide guidance and support to managers.
  • Manage employee relations issues, addressing employee concerns and grievances, conducting investigations as needed to ensure timely and fair resolutions.
  • Support complex severance calculations and agreements in collaboration with local legal teams.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in an HR Generalist role or similar capacity.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office Suite, Workday knowledge a plus.
  • Fluency in German and English essential.
