Global Product Manager Wax (m/f/d)
Location: Wesel | Worldwide
Exciting opportunities await you – Drive the growth and development of BYK's global wax additives business by increasing profitability through value-based pricing strategies in key business line areas, with a focus on core and adjacent strategic markets. More specifically, you will:
- Realize and further define a portfolio strategy for sustainable growth in alignment with the business unit, market and technology
- Manage and optimize the product portfolio regarding market demands, pricing, technical requirements, performance and innovations, and optimize the complexity of the existing product line
- Manage the innovation pipeline for the segment and work in close partnership with R&D to prioritize innovation projects based on financial projections and strategic fit
- Work closely with a cross-functional team to ensure the product portfolio meets customer needs and is well positioned in the market, gain early market acceptance for new products, and accelerate penetration
- Monitor (regional) market demand and define capacity needs as well as products to focus on; develop respective business cases to support investment in new products / capacity expansion
- Develop a sufficient marketing approach for the portfolio, develop marketing strategies based on corresponding analyses and trends
- Support end-use organization in utilizing the product portfolio and proactively supporting the commercial team in identifying new opportunities and expanding our value proposition and market influence
With this profile, you convince us – If you have extensive technical and commercial experience in the wax additives industry in the areas of product management, sales or business development, and if you are an excellent networker and communicator, we are looking for you. Other competencies you bring:
- A University degree with a scientific, technical or business orientation
- Specialist expertise in chemistry is a plus
- Mastery of Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint
- Good knowledge of SAP and reporting systems is a plus
- Excellent data analysis, planning and demonstrated strategic and analytical / problem-solving skills
- Very good presentation skills as well as strong moderation skills
- Fluent in German and / or English, both written and spoken, Dutch would be a plus
- Resilience, perseverance and negotiation skills are a must
