Sustainability Manager (f/m/d)

PAUL HARTMANN AG is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Sustainability Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be the contact person for sustainability-related topics within the PAUL HARTMANN AG. Working closely with the colleagues, you will be responsible for sustainability reporting, implementing, and continuously developing our sustainability strategy. Additionally, you will manage defined sustainability measures and topics, ensuring our company remains at the forefront of sustainable practices.


  • Sustainability Reporting & Strategy Development: Manage sustainability reporting processes and prepare for the group wide mandatory reporting according to Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). Support the continuous development and implementation of the sustainability strategy.
  • Sustainability KPIs: Develop, implement, process, and track necessary sustainability key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Legislative Expertise: Build know-how in specific product categories and gain expertise in corresponding legislation. Stay updated on regulatory developments and funding opportunities to derive actionable recommendations.
  • Market & Stakeholder Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market, competition, and stakeholder analyses in the field of sustainability to inform strategic decisions.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Support internal and external sustainability communication initiatives. Develop and drive new communication measures relevant to stakeholders.

  • Educational Background: Bachelor´s or Master's degree or comparable qualification with a focus on economics and/or technical fields (e.g., environmental, resource, or sustainability management, or studies in economics).
  • Work Experience: First experience in corporate sustainability.
  • Advanced Sustainability Education: Advanced education in sustainability, preferably in environmental fields and sustainability reporting.
  • Legislative Know-How: Strong knowledge of sustainability-related legislation.
  • Influencing Skills: Ability to effectively influence the organization at all levels, combining compliance and business thinking.
  • Analytical & Communication Skills: Excellent analytical and communication skills, capable of conveying complex sustainability concepts clearly and persuasively.
