In the Global Logistics Management team we are focuing on 4 main pillars, i.e. operational excellence, global governance, optimization, and foundational transformation. For this specific role, there is a lot of collaboration with internal and external partners. You will be responsible for the:
Management of logistics service providers (LSPs): Manage multiple international LSPs for transports of tesa SE's global flows of goods from, to and within Europe with focus on air and sea freight.
Independent Control and supervision of LSPs: Governance and support of external LSPs with regard to the fulfilment of contractually agreed services while constantly identifying and mitigating risk in the supply chain.
Process adjustments and standardization: Identify, design and implement new processes/ process adaptations for optimized flow of goods.
Operational Management of tenders: Work on the regular global tenders for logistics services, including contribution to negotiations, financial forecasting and development of a draft decision for the final award in cooperation with central purchasing.
Development of the Logistics Network: Proactively implement measures to continuously improve logistics operations as well as initiate and lead projects to develop global tesa logistics network.
- Completed Bachelor studies, ideally with focus on logistics or a comparable field of study
- Relevant professional experience in the areas of freight management, purchasing as well as import/ export and required customs knowledge
- Extensive experience in operational logistics and in logistics service providers management required
- Experience in tendering for logistics services desirable
- Strong analytical and conceptual capabilities
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent in English, spoken and written
