Our Risk Management team in Düsseldorf is looking for you!

Our team is seeking a credit risk analyst who can assist with the credit risk execution and authorization process related to energy derivatives, renewables and certificates, ensure that new products and transactions are compliant with the credit risk policies and procedures. The credit analyst will work closely with a cross functional team, the credit risk management, the IT team, and the Market RiskTeam to validate the credit risk exposure evaluation of new products and transactions to ensure the quality and accuracy of credit risk modeling and reports. You will also contribute to the design and implementation of the credit risk related process and systems enhancements, and provide support and training to the users.


Responsibilities

  • Review and validate the credit risk exposure evaluation of new products and transactions, for energy derivatives and renewables, and ensure that they are consistent with the credit risk policies and procedures
  • Identify and document the business requirements and specifications for the credit risk related process and systems enhancements, and liaise with the IT team and the Market Risk team to ensure that they are delivered and tested in a timely manner. Perform User Acceptance Test
  • Provide support and training to the users of the credit risk related process and systems, and resolve any issues or queries that may arise
  • Prepare and maintain the documentation and reports related to the credit risk product approvals process, and provide regular updates to the senior management and the stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the product approvals managers, the credit risk analysts, and other business units to ensure that the credit risk product approvals process is aligned with the business objectives and the regulatory requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, engineering or related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in credit risk analysis, preferably in the energy sector
  • Strong understanding of the validation of energy derivatives and renewables, and the credit risk exposure evaluation methodologies, process and regulation framework
  • Proficient in the use of credit risk related process and systems
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team
  • Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Excel, VBA, SQL and other programming languages
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
