Unit description

Large Projects Offshore is a key contributor to the energy transition. The Unit is responsible for the current and future development of the offshore grid as a whole and subsequently for the development and realization of the DC interconnectors and the Offshore Wind Farm grid connections in both the German and Dutch sectors of the North Sea.
TenneT is growing fast to realize its strategic ambitions. We play a leading role in driving the energy transition. We are looking for a passionate Business Architect at our location Hannover who will contribute to this and that might be you?

As the Business Architect, you will be instrumental in designing, defining, and implementing the Business Architecture for our Large Projects Offshore (LPO) organization.


You will be:

  • Interviewing stakeholders in tandem with product owner, assuring the envisioned architecture fits the business needs
  • Aligning and connecting with the TenneT Enterprise Architecture organizational bodies
  • Further define and describe the architectural framework for the development of solutions
  • Cooperating with the Information management team, to make sure the business architecture stays compliant with the business operation, including signaling potential threats to business continuity or data integrity
  • Supporting the team in developing improved and new solutions for the organization
  • Creating business architecture models demonstrating how products, operations and systems interoperate within the organization as well as model business processes in Adonis as well as architectural models in ADO-IT


  • You have a Bachelor or Master degree and an academic level of thinking and working
  • You have experience working as a Business Architect / Analyst in complex and demanding environments. Additionally you have experience in working in an Agile / SCRUM team
  • You are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing. German language skills are a huge plus
  • You have excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively at different organizational contexts
  • You have relevant certifications such as TOGAF, ArchiMate and/or CBA Certified Business Architect have preference
  • You have proven knowledge and experience of organizing document and information streams in complex project organizations preferable in the infrastructural/offshore field
