Asahi Brands Germany GmbH is part of Asahi Europe & International and belongs to Asahi Groups Holding, a global company based in Japan that distributes beer, spirits, soft drinks and food. In Germany, from our headquarters in Cologne, we successfully manage the sales and marketing of currently 9 international beer brands, such as the Czech Pilsner Urquell, the Polish Tyskie or the Italian Peroni Nastro Azzurro, with a great team.
Finance Business Partner for Germany & Austria is a senior position within Finance Business Partnering team.
The role could be based both in the Czech republic and Germany.
Main purpose of the job:
- Proactively supports and constructively challenges the GE & AT teams to deliver financial performance in line with total business objectives
- Acting as a small FD with all the responsibilities including P&L management, financial processes and well as risk management, controls and governance
- Generate insightful analysis with a total business mind-set to add value to the decision making process
- Manage financial input into the short-term and long-term strategic financial business plan, the annual budget and forecasts
- Key business partner is Country Director for Germany (and his direct reports)
- Supports business in key projects – e.g., DRS implementation / management across GE/AT
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and develop department´s reporting and controlling system
- Support the GE & AT teams as their Finance Business Partner
- Manage the efficient allocation of resources ensuring the highest achievable profits
- Ensure investment choices based on strategic priorities are assessed for long-term cost impact
- Provide analysis of sales services and proposes measures to improve their efficiency
- Control the use of funds and their correct accounting allocation within the budgets on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Set selling prices and analyses revenue drivers
- Support the responsible managers in meeting the business plans and budgets
- Review financial budgets for projects and capital investments (capex)
- University degree
- 5+ years of professional business experience
- Post graduate finance qualification (ACCA, CIMA preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Having a good business orientation, innovative thinking and commercial acumen
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office (Excel and Power BI)
- Advanced business English (spoken and written)
- Driving licence B
