We as NTT Global Data Centers EMEA are one of the leading and largest data center providers and for more than 20 years we have been supporting our clients from a wide variety of industries with our talented team of more then 1000 people (m/f/d). Today, we are designing and operating 18 data center locations across 160,000 sqm in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, in the Netherlands and in Great Britain and expanding into further markets.

Technical Project Manager (m/f/d) Data Center In-Life Infrastructure

As our Project Manager – Data Center In-Life Infrastructure (m/f/d), you will be joining our Central Engineering and Operations function and will be responsible for mission critical lifecycle plant replacement, upgrades and installation of new infrastructure (In-Life Projects) deliveries across the DACH region. You will work closely with local teams and regional managers to ensure the scope is clearly defined and agreed upon and delivery on time, cost and quality is achieved in complience with NTT exacting standards with an emphasis on health & safety at all times. This position is full-time, hybrid working and the work location will be with focus on Frankfurt am Main.


  • Manage a portfolio of projects across multiple disciplines (mechanical, electrical, fabric, IT)
  • Manage on a day-to-day basis, all resources, activities, work packages and deliverables needed to achieve the required project objectives, working across all internal functions (technical design, commercial and operational etc.) and external contractors / suppliers
  • Apply focus, resource and priority to plan and drive closure
  • Provide timely, clear, accurate and consistent project progress reporting to all stakeholders showing early identification of potential time-delayed threats and forecast deviations from budget together with proactive problem solutions
  • Produce and maintain all required project documentation to the required NTT standard ensuring alignment with the objectives of the Tech-Ops department
  • Break down and aalyses challenges and break them down and into smaller components to solve and simplify processes and prioritize objects critical to success
  • Develop a positive team culture in your respective projects through collaboration, joint achievement of objects and establish a passion for operational excellence
  • Proactive approach of sharing lessons learned and best practice to ensure continuous improvement of NTT's internal procedures
  • Work with the in region and EMEA project leads to drive development and continuous improvement of delivery and standards

  • Degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical)
  • Commercial Awareness
  • Experience in working within a large multinational company with significant regional operations
  • Experience in delivering projects across several countries
  • Proven track record of delivering a portfolio of complex projects in a data center environment or other live operational areas, e.g., Production Plants, Pharmaceuticals, Power Plants, industrial plant engineering, chemical plant engineering, Oil & Gas Industry or in a challenging engineering environment
  • Proven track record in the establishment, development and in of leading multi-region project management teams as Project Manager, Project Engineer or in a comparable responsibility
  • Demonstrable experience with fundamental project management principles
  • The following project management qualifications are desirable such as PMI Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)®, Project Management Professional (PMP)®, PRINCE2®, IPMA® or comparable
  • Ability to prepare, present and summarize information to all audience types
  • Willing and able to travel on a regular basis as required
  • Experience in working in an European multi-cultural environment
  • Working knowledge of Plan Do Check Act (Deming cycle) highly desirable
  • Business fluency in German and conversational English skills are required
