Communications Manager (m/f/d) - Europe

About the Role

Bentley Motors Ltd. are looking for a Communications Manager (m/f/d), located in the European Head Office in Hallbergmoos (Munich area). You will lead an automotive Communications function and working alongside the PR representatives at the retail partner level. On top of handling the press relations in Germany, you will be responsible to maximise coordination and cross-market synergies and set up the appropriate structure, resources and procedures to support the Communications plan as well as the Communications & PR activities.


  • Management of press and public relations in Germany
  • Increase brand awareness and media coverage, according to market needs
  • Managing the PR Budget
  • Monitoring and daily management of retailer communication plans as well as organisational retailer support for local media activities
  • Implement communications strategy for assigned countries in alignment with Bentley internal and corporate communications and regional business operations
  • Responsible for setting and measuring Communications KPIs and driving continuous improvement, as well as controlling, steering and monitoring to bonus / margin payments
  • Respond to requests from the media in line with company key messages


  • Communications background, with proven experience in the European automotive industry and established understanding of communications in the luxury goods segment and for the requirements of Retailers
  • A proactive mindset that has generated creative solutions to strategic and tactical business challenges
  • Strong influencing and persuasion skills are essential
  • A winning mentality and can-do attitude - demonstrating great drive to achieve outstanding results
  • Ability to be reactive, resolve problems quickly under pressure, to raise potential risks and propose related solutions for decision
  • Ability to maintain a consistent high level of work and professional output in times of change
  • Ability to work well within a team environment and communicate clearly with the team
  • Practical experience of press materials and working in a press office or media environment would be useful
  • Degree: Marketing, PR, Journalism or business-related, preferably in Communication, Business Administration or equivalent
  • Languages: profound verbal and written knowledge of the German and English language, further European languages a plus


You will be working in an international work environment with 28 days holiday. Furthermore you will benefit from a company pension contribution, flexible working hours with remote working (currently up to two days per week) and a canteen in the building.
