Controlling Business Partner (m/f/d)

The Controlling Business Partner GMF/EL (m/f/d) is a key strategic finance role within MSD's Controlling department located in Berlin. This position acts as a financial advisor and trusted partner to the General Metal Finishing (GMF) and Electronics (EL) business units. The role involves financial planning, analysis, reporting, and decision support, with the aim of driving profitable growth and operational efficiency

  • FP&A: Develop and maintain detailed financial models and forecasts for the Chemistry business. Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to management.
  • Decision Support: Partner with business leadership to evaluate strategic initiatives, and provide data-driven analysis and recommendations
  • Budgeting/Reporting: Support the annual budgeting process, prepare regular financial reports, including monthly performance summaries, monthly/quarterly business reviews, and ad-hoc analyses.
  • Communication and collaboration: Serve as a business partner and build strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including sales, marketing, operations, and finance. Effectively communicate financial information and recommendations to both financial and non-financial audiences.

  • Proven track record in a similar role in Finance or Controlling, ideally in the production industry
  • Deep understanding of Accounting and Controlling processes
  • Excellent presentation skills, as well as verbal and written communication in English (German a plus but not required)
  • You are characterised by a cooperative and collegial way of working, commitment and the ability to work on several projects or topics in parallel
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Advanced skills in SAP R/3 CO module or SAP S/4 Hana
  • Experience with consolidation tools (e. g. SAP BO/FC or Oracle's HFM)
