Technical Specialist f/m/d Surface

Essen | Department: Regional Business Line Parts & Services | Reporting to: Technical Support Manager

The focus is on managing the surface drilling equipment throughout its life cycle. The Technical Specialist – Surface is responsible to deliver exceptional customer service, answering all customer questions and concerns regarding our products and helping them make the most informed buying choice possible. You join customer and sales talks and work with the responsible sales person as a team. You are the first stop for technical questions from employees in the Customer Center, customers and Business Partners and follow our vision: "Dare to think new"!
As a member of our team, you will rock this:
  • Technical and application support for all employees in the Customer Center, customers and Business Partners (back-office and onsite support)
  • Epiroc advocacy in discussions with customers
  • Interface for technical problems between Customer Center and Product Company
  • Communication to technical sub suppliers
  • Preparation and realization of internal and external trainings in coordination with the Training Coordinator
  • Support for contracts, service/aftermarket sales actions, projects, and service agreements
  • Creating and actualizing technical knowledge platform
  • Creation and coordination of Customer Engineered Solutions (CES) requests
  • Creating service documents (e.g. checklists, reports)

  • Several years of experience in service and aftermarket
  • Solid knowledge and experience on mining and construction technique and aftermarket
  • Very good user level of IT Tools
  • Fluent in English and German – spoken and written
  • Willingness to travel
  • Good at empowering people
  • Being a networker
