BMW vehicles consist of various embedded Linux ECUs, most of which are developed and integrated in-house. As a Senior Continuous Integration Expert, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing complex delivery chains and continuous integration (CI) systems that enable seamless software integration.

What awaits you?

  • Design and develop multi-stage CI systems for integrating software into various Linux and Android based ECUs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement software integration strategies.
  • Ensure consistency of the various CI systems across the different ECUs.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to the development teams on best practices for software delivery.
  • Utilize the latest industry trends and technologies such as Zuul CI, GitHub EE, or Gerrit.

What should you bring along?

  • University degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification.
  • Profound experience with CI systems.
  • Solid understanding of software development process and life-cycle with focus on Continuous Integration (CI).
  • Experience in developing large CI pipelines, preferably in Zuul CI (or GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI).
  • Proficiency in Ansible.
  • Knowledge of Yocto or Android Build systems is a plus.
  • A joy for everything software, a passion for working with others to tackle problems and develop software solutions.
  • Business-fluent English.
