Manager Purchasing Buying Center Germany (m/f/d)


In this role you will lead RKW's Buying Center Indirect Germany. The members of this team predominantly take care of the Operational Purchasing tasks for Indirect Spend Categories. The Buying Center Indirect works closely with RKW's Indirect Lead Buying Team which focuses on Strategic Purchasing tasks.

The role:

  • Leading and developing a team consisting of Purchasing Specialists and Purchasing Professionals, and thus responsibility for Operational Purchasing Indirect
  • Key member of the RKW's Purchasing leadership team and by that contribute to identification and execution of value adding initiatives.
  • Developing RKW's business processes and digital tools jointly with the Lead Buying Team and adjacent departments, e.g. Finance and Operations.
  • Responsibility for RKW's German car fleet in collaboration with an external service provider.
  • Location could be Michelstadt – where most of the Busing Center Indirect team members are located – or the RKW Headquarters in Mannheim.

  • You hold a university degree in business administration, engineering or similar
  • You have a proven track record of leadership and you are proactively analyzing and improving processes and/or business tools.
  • You have 3 + years of professional experience in Purchasing preferably in a multi-national manufacturing company.
  • You feel comfortable in an international environment and have the ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively across regions, functions and teams
  • Business fluent in German and English
  • Ideally familiar with an SAP ERP system and experience in fleet car management.
