(Senior) Taxation Specialist*
Finance, Legal, HR & Audit | Experienced | Permanent | Full-Time
- Assuming responsibility for VAT and other indirect tax compliance matters for several European countries (advance VAT return, annual returns, INTRASTAT and ZM reports, registrations, etc)
- Independently coordinating and processing national and international indirect tax inquiries in cooperation with external tax consultants
- Advising on the adaptation of business processes and the implementation in IT applications in compliance with VAT requirements
- Monitoring changes in VAT law and the impact on business processes
- Providing support during tax audits (in Germany and other European countries) and with discussions with tax advisors on international tax topics
- Supporting global tax projects
- First professional experience in indirect taxes, preferably in an international group or a consulting firm
- Academic qualification in Taxation or equivalent qualification in Finance or Business Administration (Certified tax advisor not required)
- Teamwork-oriented with the ability to work independently
- High level of commitment and good communication skills
- Fluent written and spoken English skills
- Good working knowledge in MS Office, especially Excel, SAP experience would be a plus
