Unit description

Large Projects Offshore is a key contributor to the energy transition. The Unit is responsible for the current and future development of the offshore grid as a whole and subsequently for the development and realization of the DC interconnectors and the Offshore Wind Farm grid connections in both the German and Dutch sectors of the North Sea.
TenneT is growing fast to realize its strategic ambitions. We play a leading role in driving the energy transition. We are looking for a passionate Systems Engineering Advisor (m/f/d) at our location Hanover who will contribute to this and that might be you?

As a Systems Engineering Advisor (m/f/d), you will serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for Systems Engineering (SE) within the designated workstreams of the 2GW program. These workstreams represent the internal stakeholders of the 2GW program.

  • You serve as the main point of contact and subject matter expert for Systems Engineering on behalf of the 2GW Program for the different Workstreams.
  • You establish and maintain effective communication channels with workstream leads, engineers and stakeholders to ensure alignment with SE principles and processes.
  • You provide guidance and support to workstreams in adhering to 2GW standards, methodologies, and processes.
  • You collaborate with requirement owners and stakeholders to validate and verify the correctness and completeness of requirements within the library.
  • You ensure that requirement owners have access to the necessary tools and resources to perform validations effectively.


  • You have a Bachelor or Master degree and an academic level of thinking and working
  • You have experience with Systems Engineering processes such as Requirements Engineering, Verification and Validation, System Analysis, etc.
  • You have strong knowledge of ISO 15288; INCOSE Certification (ASEP,CSEP,ESEP) would be a huge plus
  • You demonstrated ability in guiding and advising project teams and have experience working with Requirements Management software tool(s)
  • You have problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to analyze complex situations and provide practical solutions, a detail oriented mindset and a hands on mentality
  • You are fluent in English and German
