ROLE SUMMARY

What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?

The purpose of the role is to manage and enhance BAT's reputation as an employer of choice. The Employer Branding Executive is the key driver of BAT's employer branding projects and initiatives across Central Europe Area (CE). The role leads the engagement with our main target groups across offline and online touchpoints and builds relevant campaigns and activation to support our recruitment teams. This role involves adapting and executing initiatives to attract, engage, and retain top talent by creating a positive and appealing employer brand. Further, the Employer Branding Executive evaluates and improves initiatives based on latest trends and thorough target group insights. She/he is passionate about Employer Branding and creating a positive workplace culture.

- Talent Attraction Manager (based in Poland)

- 1 intern

Core Relationships:

- Internal – CE Area Talent Team, Area Employer Branding Workstream, Legal & Cora Global Talent Centre of Excellence, HR Leadership Team

- External – Employer Branding agency, universities, networks etc.

Geographic Scope:

- DRBU(Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Switzerland, Austria, Baltics)


  • Implement the Employer Branding strategy in line with the global EVP (realization of online and offline Employer Branding activities such as career fairs, cooperations, events, presentations as well as key metrics tracking & budgeting for Germany)
  • Responsible for the online presence and social media channels; content creation and (social media) management ensuring a consistent and authentic representation of the employer brand across various platforms in line with legal requirements
  • Establish Cooperation and with agency on (social media) campaigns and the design of Employer Branding materials
  • Lead the area workstream across Central Europe for Employer Branding: Foster best practice sharing and drive continuous improvement (eg. elaborate area wide understanding of return on invest per channel; coordinate local activation)
  • Adapt and ensure implementation of global Employer Branding/Talent projects (eg. New EVP roll out; certifications/awards; career website; Diversity, Equity & Inclusion)
  • Partner with HR and internal communication teams to co-develop and implement initiatives that enhance employee engagement and satisfaction; organize activities that promote a positive work environment, strengthen the brand and leverage existing employees as brand ambassadors
  • Support the recruitment process for young talents (interns, apprentices, dual students and global graduates)
  • Supervise for apprentices and interns in the Talent Team; leveraging and guiding young talents for online content creation

  • Demonstrated experience in setting up (social media) campaigns as well as tracking key metrics such as reach & engagement to demonstrate the impact
  • Hands on Talent Acquisition experience with focus on employer branding, esp. social media touchpoints and campaigning, preferably from social media or employer branding agency
  • Creative thinker with the ability to develop engaging content
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills in English and German
  • First experience in project management with different internal and external stakeholders
  • Insights into latest employer branding trends, tools and generation Z recruitment preferred
  • Authentic and engaging brand ambassador that thrives when interacting online and in person with potential candidates and internal/external partners
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment and collaborate effectively with cross-functional and cross-country teams

  • Completed commercial training, relevant university degree (Marketing, HR, Communication) preferred
