We are currently seeking an Account Manager who will be a part of the German Industry Sales team and the link between GfK and our Clients. We are expanding our Industry Sales team, which is dedicated to our clients that are manufacturers of technical and durable consumer goods. The Industry Sales team is focusing on growing with our existing customer base and new clients. We offer a collegial and supportive working environment and expect candidates for this role to take personal initiative to achieve individual and team goals.
The role of the Account Manager is to be a trusted adviser to our customers, matching innovative and digital GfK solutions to their key business questions. The role will include business growth targets for both new and existing clients, overall responsibility for driving revenue growth of the assigned Industry, securing and growing profitable clients.
Candidates will have accomplished skills in business development and sales. They will also have strong interpersonal skills and use these to delve deep into the client business, truly understanding the challenges and questions. They live and breathe clients and are able to demonstrate the value of GfK solutions, thus driving engagement and growing the business.
As Account Manager (m/f/d) for Germany you will have following key accountabilities:
  • Account Leadership: Manage specific GfK accounts.
  • Client Relations: Coordinate with internal departments to ensure a client-centric approach.
  • Client Insight: Understand client strategies and key business questions.
  • Relationship Building: Develop senior-level relationships to drive sales growth.
  • Value Communication: Articulate the value of GfK's offerings.
  • Cross-Functional Work: Collaborate with colleagues to meet client expectations and explore new opportunities.
  • Revenue Growth: Increase revenue and forecast accurately.
  • Contract Negotiations: Lead negotiations for new sales.
  • Pipeline Management: Maintain an accurate sales pipeline in the CRM.
  • Market Knowledge: Continuously improve market and portfolio knowledge.

  • Education: Master's or Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience: 2+ years in account management, sales, or consultancy.
